THE TEACHER BEHIND THE BRAND

A LITTLE PROGRESS EACH DAY ADDS UP TO BIG RESULTS.

With over 10,000 classes taught and 5 years of experience as an ESL teacher, Miss Charlotte specialises in executing curriculums and creating lesson plans. During her progressive career, she has worked in China at a private school. She now works online with students from all over East Asia and Europe helping them improve their English skills within 3-6 months. Miss Charlotte has worked with over 500 students throughout her teaching career.

Her expertise lies in Teaching English as a Second Language and she also holds a Bachelor’s in Global Business Management. After she graduated she was introduced to personal development and non traditional career paths which is equally an essential part of her own career.

Exposing students to skill-based learning such as leadership strategy and critical thinking, Charlotte’s main objective is to bring situational learning to the classroom by teaching students topics which will prepare them for life.

MY STORY

HELLO, SUPERSTARS!

When I was a little girl, I never understood the power of language. To be frank with you I underestimated the power of education. I still remember my last day of school; I was delighted I never had to step foot into a classroom again or use my evenings and weekends to complete homework. I thought most of the topics that were taught at school were pointless. I particularly hated Science, History and Maths.

Fast forward 10 years, although I still don’t quite understand the idea of algebra, I do however fully appreciate that being a student doesn’t stop after completing GCSEs, A-Levels or even a degree in any form. In order to avoid a mediocre life, education is key for every industry. One thing that stuck with me from school was their motto “Leaders for Tomorrow”. I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to go against societal norms and I wanted to have a purpose

In order to be a leader, I needed to be put through the wringer to find out the problems, the missing pieces and the educational demand. I worked in hospitality for 3 years but was also made redundant 3 times. I can’t stress enough that working for someone else is not the “safety net” people think it is. I was offered to work in China at a private school after a disastrous start of my career. I took the opportunity with both hands and my ESL journey started  on the 28th April 2018.

Having taught hundreds of students and worked with teachers in Asia, I was inspired to focus on curriculum design, equipping students with extensive experiences and making language learning effective and meaningful. My main mission as a curriculum specialist is to instil entrepreneurship, leadership and creativity into every student I teach by maximising the students’ learning potential and designing useful content which the student can utilise – instead of pleasing an exam board to gain a letter.
